How to get to the BINARIUM and Café/Bistro NETZWERK

The museum and the Bistro/Café NETZWERK have the adress Hülshof 28, D-44369 Dortmund/NRW (Google Maps). It is located in Dortmund-Huckarde and can be reached with car, bicycle and public transport. The coordinates are 51.536632, 7.415544. Only 400 meters away, along the Route der Industriekultur you can find the Kokerei Hansa.

From highway A2: Take the exit Dortmund-Mengede and drive along the Emscherallee until the Hülshof. From A45/E31: Take the exit Dortmund-Hafen. We have enough parking space for cars and motorcycles.

Approx. driving time: Bochum: 25 min, Essen: 30 min, Münster: 50 min, Düsseldorf: 60 min, Cologne: 75 min, Bonn: 90 min, Frankfurt: 2.5 h, Hamburg: 3 h, Moscow: 21 h, Cape Town: 200 h. Information on potential traffic jams are at the local TV/Radio station WDR.

• Dortmund Hauptbahnhof (central station): Take subway line U47 from Dortmund Hauptbahnhof, direction Westerfilde until Huckarde-Bushof station (takes approx. 11 min). From there it is a 300 meter walk (3 min) to the Hülshof 28. The DEW21 (Dortmund city services) offer an interactive time table for the subway.
• Bahnhof Dortmund-Huckarde Nord (Huckarde Nord railway station): For the Emschertal-Bahn (line RB 43) from Dorsten to Dortmund-Huckarde Nord have a look at the VRR rapid transit map and NRW regional map. From the tiny station it is a 500 meter walk to the museum (takes 5 min).
• S-Bahn: Take S-Bahn line S2 until Dortmund-Huckarde station. It is a 20 min walk of 1.4 km to get to the museum.
• Bus: Bus lines 410, 447, 461, 462, 465 and NE13 run to Huckarde Bushof.

From Dortmund Airport: Take the Bus 440 from Dortmund Airport to Aplerbeck (13 min) and change to subway line U47 to Bushof Huckarde station (34 Minuten).
Or take the AirportExpress Bus to Dortmund Hauptbahnhof (22 min) and change to the NordWestBahn (RB 43) or Subway line U47 to get to the BINARIUM (see „Train and Bus“).

From Düsseldorf Airport: Take the „Sky Train“ to get from the airport terminals to Düsseldorf Airport Station (Bahnhof Düsseldorf Flughafen). The local trains RE1, RE3, RE6 and RE11 will run to Dortmund Hauptbahnhof (Dortmund Hauptbahnhof). From Dortmund Hauptbahnhof, the BINARIUM can be reached by subway line U47 (see „Train and Bus“).

The BINARIUM is a good stop for bicycle tours along the Emscher river. Details for the route can be found on the homepage of the Emschergenossenschaft. The BINARIUM provides special parking spaces for bicycles.

Access to the museum and the Bistro/Café NETZWERK is possible via a ramp in front of the entrance. There are no stairs within the museum or the café.
